Update: COVID-19 Impact

Well it's been an interesting and tough few months for business and hopefully we've come through the worst of it.
Operations at Hurtle Gear have mostly returned to normal, except for two key areas:
- Customer Order Delivery
In most cases, customers seem to receiving their orders in the usual time period (eg. 1-2 days), especially with Toll. Although there has been a huge increase in online shopping over the last few months, Australia Post and the courier network seem to have increased their capacity as much as possible to accommodate this.
However, the significant reduction in domestic flights in Australia has meant that some shipments are going by road instead, and we have had some reports of customer orders taking 1-2 weeks, instead of 1-2 days. Unfortunately though it seems quite random. It seems as though consignments get to the depot and if they can fit on a plane they do, and if they can't they go on a truck. Australia Post and Toll are beyond apologising for this now, it's just the new reality until the domestic airfreight system returns to normal, which we hope will be soon.
If your package is delayed, we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, and we hope that delivery times will return to normal soon.
- Incoming Stock
Likewise the international courier network is in chaos at the moment, and shipments from Europe that used to take 1 week to get here are now taking 4-5 weeks, or longer in some cases. Larger shipments, when they land in Australia, are often now coming by road instead of air.
This means that many of our items are temporarily out of stock while we wait for the shipments to arrive. If you see an item out of stock, you can rest assured that we have SEVERAL shipments in the pipeline, on the way, but they are just being delayed. Simply fill in the NOTIFY ME form and our system will shoot you an email as soon as the stock arrives.
We are increasing our ordering levels to help overcome this problem, and of course as the world economy starts to return to normal we hope that shipping times will improve once again.
We thank you for your continued support and patience at this time.
